Want to know how I lost 6 pounds?

I charismaallover am 5′3 130 pounds. I used
to be 136 pounds. I lost weight and kept eating what I want,
delicious meats and delicious side items. I love me some fries,
hamburger, meatloaf, pizza, shrimp fried rice, pepper steak,
cube steak, sloppy joe, Tostados ( Tostadas
are shells for hamburger, shredded
cheese, sour cream, ortego mild sauce).

I don’t deny myself. I am not into the fruit diet
of having fruit for breakfast lunch and dinner. The food guide
pyramid says we must have meats too. The thing is I try my
hardest to eat before 7pm. THat helps to lose weight. I also
excercize twice.

For a woman like me who loves to eat the
most delicious foods, I had to do this. The thing is I was only
excercizing 3 days a week for 30 minutes. Once I gained
weight I was like oh heck no! I bumped up my excercize
time to 5 days a week. Each of the 5 days I excercize is
for 30 minutes in the earlier part of the day and 30 minutes
in the evening.

I started from 136 and got to 134, and got to 132, and now
I’m 130 pounds and steadily knocking off the calories. I am writing
this to help you to if you desire to lose weight. It’s a great feeling.
I even think positive about losing weight like I be thinking about
good excercize songs I want to write.

Sometimes I eat standing up or sitting down. I drink
Crystal Light as well since there’s no sugar and that supports
my desire to lose weight. Like I said, I’m down to 130 pounds
doing my routine. I dance to the song “Breakin’ Dishes” by
Rihanna, then I switch up to new songs. Music inspires my
dance moves.

I dance to how I feel the music. IF I really
want to get all my excercize out of the way I will dance
in the morning about 930 or 10:30 am and then come back
and dance at 12pm or 1pm so I don’t have to weight to the
late evening. I always like to dance on even time, either
something O’clock or something 30. Example 9:00am or 9:30am.

Water sometimes makes people full so if you drink like 2 or 3 glasses
you might get full. I get happy just thinking about the calories
and the weight running away.

Benedict COllege is a massive Impressive Black COllege in South Carolina!!!

Benedict pennett Pictures, Images and Photos

Benedict College is
one of those colleges that leave a lasting impression.
Just look at what they are doing.

Benedict college has a listing
of clubs and organizations ready and
waiting for you.

IF you ever wanted to join the military,
they’ve got AROTC to satisfy that.

I was just sitting there looking at Our
Beautiful Black people having fun.
It’s the most exciting looking college.
The gorgeous black women and
the handsome black men are dressed
in the colors purple and yellow. They
are in unison, in perfect harmony.
As they march down the streets
it is truly powerful because you know
they’ve got a BIG message.

In the Benedict College COncert
Choir, they are dressed in black with
their red roses,dashing, charismatic
and dreamy. But us black people are
always that. Just let me say that it’s
something so elegant about those
dresses and so cute about those tuxes.

There’s nothing like a marching band to
get that energy pumping.The marching
band is full entertainement at
the football games, parades, and other
activities.Imagine
the hype of the crowd. Our Black people
are strutting their stuff. They standing
and sitting in different photos with a sexiness
that’s so classy.

Oh and lets take a look at the Harold ODom Dance
Theatre. Step into the zone
and you will find jazz, hip hop,
African and MOdern dance.
IT all is centered around OUR
Black history. IT was Harold
Odom who began the dance
program at Benedict College
in 1991. They make it look
extra fun too.

The Students participating have traveled
to local schools and encouraging
more kids to dance. You will find that
they have performed at conventions
and special events around South
Carolina and George leaving their
audiences oh so impressed.

In the Student Government Association,
Our Beautiful black people have
taken roles on such as President, Vice
President,Recording Secretary, etc.

The process of donating blood is great because it helps people and it gets you paid!

It’s always great to volunteer.
But its even better to help someone
and yourself at the same time.
We all need help. So, I know
the economy is a hard place
and even if it was not, I would
still want people to know how
to donate blood to help and
to make money.

They have places where you can donate blood plasma
and get paid for it. IF you have read my article on how
more Black people need to donate blood, then you know
how strong the need is. Black people are a match in blood
with other black people that’s what I read.

Anyways, I have donated blood before and got money for it.
At The IBR Plasma center, I gave blood.
I would like to inform you on the process if you have
never given blood. It took me 3-4 hours to give blood the first
time I went. After the first time, it goes a lot faster. They ask
for your information like your social security card and student id,
driver’s license or other photo id.

The process is getting one of your fingers pricked. They
check your arms. They ask you put the thermostat stick or
whatever stick to test saliva. When they take your blood pressure,
they let you know if its too low or too high. IF your blood pressure
is not within a certain range, people will not be able to donate.
Please make sure you know what to do to keep your blood
pressure on point. IT is recommended that you eat a big meal
before donating blood. Just in case, you should also eat something
like crackers or a snack before you give blood.

They ask that you do reflexes, they check your heart,
and they ask for a urine sample.

They stick people with a needle. Before that, they put this
gooey brown liquid on your arm and smooths it on with
a q tip. They stick the needle in, it’s not too painful. It’s
almost like being pricked. They tape the needle down.
They even weigh you.

They take your picture. WHen there, they ask you
to read over the rules and make sure people do those
activities that prevent people from donating. SOon after,
they ask you to sign the form. Not getting enough food
will cause people to faint. Remember this too, eating just
one or two things is not enough to help you be ready to
donate blood. Also, if a person’s iron levels is low they
won’t be able to donate blood. The place I went to takes
blood, but their machine takes out the plasma. The place
I’m referring to is the IBR Plasma Center.

It takes about 45 minutes to an honor to donate blood. But
before you go, make sure you do everything to keep your
blood pressure normal. I would really hate
for someone to go up there, wait and not
be able to donate. But as much as you can keep your
blood pressure normal. Ask questions of all the reasons
why people get deferred from donating blood. I want
yall to be able to give blood and get money.

At the following site, you will find Blood plasma centers in different cities and
states:

Black History: Public places named after our black people!

George Washington Carver
Public Places named in Honor of African Americans

Have you ever been in person to places named after
our black people? I have never been to those places. If you
have, you’ve taken a glimpse of history. So in speaking
about this, Our Black HIstory is a world of things, a mosaic
set up as beautiful art. It’s definitely something worth downloading
into our minds.Like other places, Our Black people have
played the most important role in the history of King
County. Many of our black people have had parks
and buildings named after them.

William Grose, A Black man first arrived in Seattle.
He voyaged to Asia, Arctiv and Central America. He
panned gold in California and helped run an underground
railroad. He also owned a famous hotel Yesler WayHotel
and was one of Seattle’s biggest landowners.

And guess where it is located? It is located
between 30th and 31st Avenues East
Between East Howell and East Denny Streets.
William Grose park can be described as
serene as a beautiful ocean and quiet as well.
Other features of the park are the grassy sloping
banks, cedar trees, and a pathway with benches.

Powell Barnett, another one of our Black people
who has a place named in his honor mined coal
and played in a local band. He worked in both
road and hotel construction. After a while, he worked
as a clerk to a state senator. Also, he was an
employee for King County Department of Construction
and Facilities Management. He joined a Musician’s
Union that was majority white.

The location of the place is between East Jefferson and
East ALder on Martin Luther King Jr Way. Going over
4 acres, Powell Barnett Park features recreation
facilities, a greatly shaded picnic area, a pathway
in circle form and a hilltop corner with benches and
a view.

Henrietta Mathews, a black woman who tutored
black students, counseled single mothers,
spoke out for senior citizens, etc. She committed
herself to 25 years of service in Seattle. During
a specific time, she was a probation officer for
King COunty Youth Services. After 1959, she
worked as a family services caseworker and a coordinator
for the Seattle Public School District. For a long time,
she devoted plenty of time to helping those disadvantaged.

For her distinguished service in social welfare, it
fits that the public place neamed for Gideon
Mathews Gardens, a landscaped 45 unit
housing complex for low income seniors
and the disabled both. This building can be
found at 24th Ave South and South Jackson Street,
the facility opened its doors in 1986. It is named also
for RUssell S. Gideon, one of our Black people who pioneered
senior housing.

Dr. Blanche Sellers Lavizzo, was an African
American who was a friend and schoolmate of
Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Blanche started
practicing pediatrics in Seattle in 1956. She
was a pioneer in children’s healthcare, offering
gifts of time, medical talent and her love for serving
the Central Area community. Dr. Lavizzo was the
first Medical Director of Odessa Brown when
the clinic opened in 1970.

What says ALOT more about her is that two
places were named in her honor. Dr. Blanche Lavizzo
Park is a relaxing and secluded pathway between
South Jackson Street and East Yesler Way at
22nd Avenue South with trees that shade, a picnic
area with grills and a location for concerts and
community events. THe Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Water
Play Area at the Edwin T. Pratt Park is an imaginative
sculpture fountain featuring African motifs created
by local African American artists. ANy of these sound
familar?Ofcourse visuals always help to understand
history. Some people learn better from hearing and
others are visual.

It is important that us black people save more money in retirement savings!

The key to resolving a problem is knowing the problem
Here’s the problem, this article says that us Black people
lag in retirement savings. We have got to save more
money for our retirement. It’s always great to start early.

Our Black people save far less each month on retirement
says a updated survey. THe median monthly amount that
our Black people contribute to 401k plan is $169, but
they say that white people give $249 a month.

It was said that for the black youth saving for retirement is
not high on the list.41% of black people said retirement
was the most important goal for saving and investing.
For whites, it’s 55 percent of them who feel that way.

Stocks need to be discussed more in the black community.
I’ll get back to you on this topic. For now, for those who
don’t know about them stocks, they learn while they do it
instead of already knowing. It’s so much easier on the
mind to already know and just breeze through it.

In the study 45% of black people younger than 50
say they want to retire by age 60. Among those older than
50,24% of black people and 9% of white people want to
retire by 60 years of age.

Yes, many of us Black people place so much value on
sending children to college but don’t even think too
much about retirement. IT’s really really great
that we place such high worth on college. But
now we must think retirement , retirement.
It’s like before and after.

Ofcourse like college, we all know that retirement
takes action too. Let’s make sure we have a smooth
transition into retirement. People are not saving
early enough for retirement. But the question is
when is early enough? It’s best not to start in
middle age because this is a lifelong thing.

Two thirds of our Black people and a Half of whites
say that they would increase contributions to their
retirement plan if employers provided access to
financial advisers, seminars about retirement investing
and or education about the features of the plan.So
it’s that easy…employers should do those things!

Investing of retirement by white people was 76% last year.
This year, Ourblack people were involved in the stock
market at 62% compared to 82% for white folks.

39 percent of our black people said real estate was
the best investment overall in comparison to 37% of
our blck people who picked stocks or mutual funds
says the survey. AMong white people, 28% chose
real estate in comparison to 55% who chose
stocks and mutual funds.

By 2004, it was the height of the real estate bubble
when 61% of our black people and 51% of whites
said it was the best investment overall.

Barack Obama Fist Pound in St. Paul 2008

I’m All for President Barack Obama. I’m voting for

to wear Barack Obama gear. I will wear Obama
shoes, obama rings, obama pants, Obama shirt, Obama
hat, Obama earrings, Obama Necklace, anything Obama.
More than just wearing his name, I want his face on any
item I wear. That’s what I want most. I really enjoyed
looking through the Obama jewelry. The designs are really
great and interesting.

My Black People, a great key to health and walk those pounds off! Burn high calories!

Weights Pictures, Images and Photos

“Walk Away The Pounds” (dvd by Leslie Sansone)

This is one of the dvds that I was given by
a friend.  When I tried it, it was fun. I needed another
exercise plan to go with my 30 minute dancing
routine that I do 3 times a week.

In this video, I noticed and remember how Leslie did
the hand stretching, lifting legs back, holding weights.
Well, that’s just some of the things in the video.
I find that this video inspired me. Sometimes when
I’m dancing I get bored. I have the moves in my
head sometimes and other times, I only repeat some of
the few same routines for 30 Minutes. So the fact
that I found this dvd Walk Away the Pounds makes
me happy. I already know the routine as I’m watching
it. So I don’t have to think too much about what I
want to do in this rountine. This makes the time
go by faster for me. I have never found an excercize
I want to do everyday. I did the 3 mile walk. This
excercize routine is a walk you can do in your home.
You don’t need gymnasium space. You don’t have
to go outside, so its pretty convenient.

The dvd has a side for 1 mile. THe Other side
is for 2 miles. I did them both so I did 3 miles.
I enjoy the fact that they let us viewers know when
we get to half a mile, a mile, 2 miles. That’s very
encouraging. THe 2 mile walk side of the dvd
burns higher calories.

THis excercize is made to tone legs, butt, and abs.
IT conditions your heart. It speeds up your
metabolism.

MOre on what it does:

Intensifies weight loss
Works legs, chest, back and arms
Builds strong muscles, and bones
Gives a smaller tighter waist

OH and you wil need a set of 2lb weights.
In this dvd, they use blue ball weights.
IF you have none, you can use two
cans, one for each hand.
Anyways, it’s a fun workout. It makes working
out easier. I’ll give you this example. I tried getting
on the excercize bike my mother has and it is a drag.
The longest 20 minutes of my life. When I do the
routine on the Walk Away the Pounds dvd,
I get up to 45 minutes worth of excercize. This
dvd is all of upbeat and positive. We have heard
of the expression Time flies. It truly does with
this dvd. It motivates our health and our weight
loss. It’s like a 2 for 1 deal. Get on board. I’m glad
to be a witness to tell you from experience in
doing this fitness routine.
In closing, I describe this excercize routine as
brisk, dynamic, and truly inspiring.

The African Fashion of Wearing Nature ready for the Viewing!!!

Flower, flower, flower, flower, flower, flowers.....and blue for kathryn for her most favorite c

The Black African fashion show enriched in nature!

Nature is a beautiful place from the waterfalls
to watersplash. There are some incredible nature photos
around the internet. We know about our Black people
in Africa and how they take nature and make it a fashion.
Well……….their use of make up involves bright
yellows, startling white, earth tone reds,
along with the accessories for the finishing touches.

These various looks are inspired by wild trees,
the most beautifu flowers, and lush vegetation
areas next to Ethiopia, Kenya, and Sudan.

Replacing the scarf, our Black African people
use banana  leaves. It reminds me somewhat
of a wreath. IT is composed of seed pods,
buffalo horn, a crown of melons, feathers,
 stems and storks.

OUr Black people in Africa use zebra
skins as leggings, wear snail shells as
necklaces and clay to stick their
incredible designs to their heads.

There’s twist and there’s twist out,see them both in this gallery!

African Hairstyles:How many designs can make out of cornrows? These ways and more!

My Faux Hawk

We all know about the expertise of Our Black people in braiding hair, looks, fashion, talent, invention
and everything you could think
of that’s professional and great.
I would like to particularly point out
such creative designs in cornrows.
          What’s great about people who
are hair stylist is that they make good money. That’s money everyday for them. Lord knows that having money everyday is the best way to live. Waiting a week or 2 weeks to get a check is slow.
But being a licensed hair professional is the glamorous life. Even if a person has hair skills but no license, that’s good to have. Getting hair done is on the most popular list. Cornrows allows for a long list of styles. How many ways can hair be done with
cornrows? Take a look. You can have fun with them.
