Ellen and William Craft was like any other escaped slaves I
read about so Far. Instead of enduring the harshest conditions,
they actually experiencedThe luxury while on their mission to
escape. Mr. and Mrs. Craft traveled Amongst the first class
trains, ate with the steamboat captain, and Lounged around the
best hotels. This was all during their escape to
Philadelphia.

You asked how did they do it? Black people are known for
being clever, Superintelligent human beings. We have a history
of it. Ellen, just so Happen to have a fair complexion,
pretended to be a white cotton planter
Traveling with her slave William. Yet, Ellen insisted on closing the curtains
On her race, gender, and social status on this brief trip to freedom.
They even wrote a book called “Thousand Miles for Freedom, inviting you
To take a look at their journey to freedom.

William was just 16 when his master put him up for sale. That was too young,
But slavery shouldn’t exist anyway. My motto is “Stop treating people like
Product.” William was a skilled cabinetmaker, who saw his 14 year old
Sister being sold off. Ellen was often seen as white member of the family
Because she was biracial. You know how some bi-racial people turn out so
Yellow toned and others shades lighter. Well, she just turned out to be on
The lighter lighter shade of the spectrum.

Also, Ellen had to use props to disguise herself as a man, because it is
Not typical of women to travel with male servants. And to make it even easier
For these people to leave, it worked in their favor that they got Christmas time
Passes to leave without raising great suspicion. William, was actually allowed to
Keep some of his money.
William, Ellen’s hubby, cut her hair to neck length. She just put her
Right arm in a sling, which gave her an excuse of why she shouldn’t have
To sign a registry or other papers. This story is similar to Henry Box
Brown and how he pretended to be injured to escape to freedom.
The couple could not read or write. Ellen got William to wrap her face
With bandages around the majority of her face so she would only have
Limited interaction with strangers. Her get up- Men’s trousers, green
Spectacles, and a top hat.
Ellen bought the tickets to Savannah, an area about 200
Miles away. William took his seat in the negro car. He saw the owner
Of the cabinetmaking shop. The man questioned the ticket seller,
Then the man was looking through the windows of the cars.
William panicked, turned his face from the window and shrank
In his seat. The man searched the car Ellen was sitting in, but
Didn’t give any grief to the bandaged person. He was going to
Go to William’s car, but the bell clanged and the train lurched off.

Ellen observed her seat mate was her master’s friend. This was
A dinner guest Ellen had known for many years. She thought he
Had been sent to capture her, but he said “It is a very fine morning
Sir” and she was calmed. She didn’t want to talk to him much,
So she pretended to be deaf.

Henry Box Brown- Black man mailed himself to freedom!

What’s thing some people would kill for? Freedom.
No one should be enslaved and the individuals who invented
slavery are ludicrious.

Henry Box Brown escaped slavery in Virginia with the assistance
of black and white people opposing slavery. This occured
in 1849.

The box was marked with words “this side up with care”. They
didn’t want him to be hurt because you know how ruff they
are with packages. Why not treat all packages with care?
That says professionalism to me.

Henry got him some water, some biscuits, a tool to make air holes,
hopped into the box. The man nailed the top down, and porters
took the box to the cars.

the conditions of the box were horrific. It was
tightly cramped and the book talks about the positions
Henry Box Brown was in.
Henry’s back and head were down. Imagine what it would be
like for a regular person, then a claustrophobic.

That’s just a little bit. Read the book and it talks about
how his family was sold off. It talks about how the master
wanted to pass him down to his son, like he was a
collectable. IT goes into detail on how he had to injure
himself to escape. It’s better detailed. And
what a way to get out of dodge! The book is a real treat
for those interested in Black History. Black History does not
have a certain time or certain place. It’s everyday.

The fastest man in the world title was given to a Black man…..Usain Bolt!

Instead of taking a bike or a car,this man decided to run
and he ran this race and took over!!!

A black man is the fastest man on earth. In the words of Alicia Keys
song Unbreakable,” Clap your hands everybody, um, clap your hands..
Well black people are known for doing the best in everything. This internet
could never be thorough enough to explain it…Charisma, talent, beauty,
soul, spirit, giving,intelligence, inventions, black people are the best
in all areas no matter how good others are in areas. They say everybody
has talent but black people take it to the extreme.

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is the speediest man in the world. He has
won the men’s Olympic 100 meters with such power. He went
even further than his former record of 9.72 seconds. He finished
the race in only 9.69 seconds, which is a new world record
he has set. Some Trinidadian gentleman named Richard Thompson
got 2nd place and won silver medal. He finished the race in 9.89 seconds.

American Walter Dix went home with bronze medal for 9.91 seconds.
This gentleman from Jamaica is quoted as saying” I came here to prove
I’m the best. I could even be 9.60.” His name and his high level
of achieving in running has deemed him worthy of the media nickname
“Lightning Bolt”. And in the words of Muhammad Ali, Fly like a butterfly,
sting like a bee. We know how that applies to this man’s speedy race.

Puma is the sponsor company. After he won the 200 meters race in
World Junior Championships in Jamaica in 2002, Puma signed Bolt.
To advertise Bolt’s chances for 100 meters race in Summer Olympics
in Beijing, China, Puma has released a collection of videos showing
off Bolt’s world record setting run in the Reebok Grand Prix to his
preparations for the Olympics. Even during the Beijing 2008 100
meters final, Bolt display his golden Puma spikes that read
Beijing 100 meters Gold.

Oh yes people, I probably should have kept running. I did run a lot
when I was a kid. I never got into racing, but when I was a kid
mom said I was the fastest runner on my block. And doesn’t
running give people a rush? It’s great excercise, pumps
that heart, challenges you. What more could you want?

The Most Convenient Things about Life

-Music Videos such as Rude Boy (see picture above), it makes me excercise harder and faster. It’s a powerful song, especially this
song but music is powerful in general.

-Having a Job Across the Street from Where you live

-Graduating College early

-Starting hobbies early like ballet, tap dance, gymnastics,
professional roller skating..I wish I would have started all
these early…Now I do none of them.

-Having a short labor

-Having a hairdresser for a mom

-Getting hired for a job on the spot

-Learning from someone else’s mistake to avoid yours

-Having a 4.0 gpa

-Having a house with a sidedoor and a front door, and
even a back door…..I used to live in a duplex
with only one door. Me and mom thought this was a
fire hazard. Now we got a sidedoor and front door.
We have a mail slot, garage, fencing, windows in bathrooms,
We have the sliding doors, sliding windows, well sealed
toilet..God is great!

-Being a nutritionist

-Long hair instead of short hair because you can style it
with more versatility. I will find that blog but someone said
that they only wash and condition their hair once a month
and let it stay it braids and their hair grew to their waist.

-Attending college because mom gets paid for me to go
to college.

-Staying off campus, because it’s too much work living in a
dorm

-Doing your own hair, it’s costly to have others do it.
THe easiest hair to do is long hair.

-Splurge days, having 2 days where you can eat like
crazy and not feel guilty about it. It works for me.
Does it work for others? It works for me because
I excercise (boxing) for an hour and sometimes
a little over. I eat light through the week though.
I eat multiple fruits then I eat a regular meal.
This is to maintain it. WHen I was losing weight
I was eating meatloaf and a salad and oh my
goodness, the taste both blend together in
harmony.

-Knowing foreign languages because you get hired
quicker and if someone is talking in secret by
using a non English language you can catch
what they are saying..

-Being an adult, because you understand life better.
When you are a kid, you walk the world confused.

-Having a job with benefits. Where did they go?
Seriously!!

-Attending college in the city you live in…

-Knowing who you deal with right away, if you
had a superpower to scan someone’s personality
and actions to see how they would respond
to different situations….But then God is
always great at that, great at everything!

-Getting a new hairstyle every week. Then people
wonder what they will see next. I make the greatest
effort to do it.

-You’ve already graduated. I have a blessed cousin
who graduate college. I only graduated high school
which is a blessing as well…but graduating college
is the ultimate.

-You can balance college and a social life without
slipping up.

-You are a math genius…it seems like once math
is tackled, what else is hard in school?

-Timers, so if you forget to do something that bell
will remind you.

- Hats/scarves so if your hair is not exactly like you
want it, you can design it with those. I’ve done it
at times, but most of the time I’m showing off my
hair. I feel like it’s less baggage when it’s all me.

-Having a full ride scholarship

-Being Black, it’s the most beautiful race, more
youthful. I am so proud to be.

-Save the best for last, a Life with GOD in it…

resources of how to make money are right over
your head.

But for now, Go ahead, imagine yourself in front of a pile of money.
The goal is to get as much you can in a timed session.

Well fellow readers, I was looking online for some ways
to make money on college campus.

1. You could sell your plasma to make money. When I went to donate blood plasma, I almost
fainted because I did not each much. So do eat a full breakfast. My left
arm ofcourse is hard to poke with the needle. I always like to watch the needle
go into my arm. There is no looking away from me.

2. Participate in a Research Study. THere are colleges
that actually pay you for doing a research study. THe studies
come in various shapes and forms. Some studies will require
you to fill out surveys. Others will ask you to try out product
or treatment.

3. Get a job passing out fliers. They may ask you to put
the fliers on apartment doors or put them on car windshields.

4.Another option is to Tutor. Be an official tutor for your
college. I had heard that the college paid the music theory
tutor to tutor students.

5. Photography can pull the money in. If you are good at taking
pcitures, students at the college may need wedding pictures or
graduation pictures.

6. Sell stuff you don't need. You can sell these products/items
on ebay or craigslist. Have your own garage sale if your up for it.
There are times where free section on Craiglist and sell them
at a decent profit.

7. Another option is to get a part time job on campus. They can
be easy campus reserve jobs just for students. They build around
your schedule because they work with you well. They don't
want you slipping up.

8. You could sell your sporting event tickets. IF you want
to sell this tickets to non college students for a college
with a big sports program.

9. Blogging your way to money. THis site talks about how sites

10. Recycling can roll in the green paper. Go ahead and clean
your campus up. Get the bottles and the cans together into an

to do paid research assistanceships to fortunate undegrad students.
Oh, and it's like taking out two birds with one stone. It gets you
paid cash and is a great asset to have on your resume.

13. You can sell your class notes. I can honestly say I would have never
thought of this one. People may be out of town and need someone
to take notes for them. Or someone may have an event to tend to,
or activity so you can get money from that.

14. Sell candy/pop to your classmates. Well if you get any
deals on your candy pop, I can see this as making a profit
if you sell it for money. But I was thinking that the price
would have to be really low when you buy to get a big
price back. I don't know, ya'll think on that one.

Anyways, I'm tired of the term broke college student. So let's make
money on college. They are going to have to change it to the
resourceful college student. On the other hand they could call
it the money flow college student. Oh, since you have the ideas

Well, here’s what I learned about Mass COmmunications in the form of a Sample Resume!

Mass Communications is one of the most interesting careers
a person could have. Oh yes! According to me, charismaallover.
Why? Because I’m a writer and I like to communicate in many
different aspects as you can see. I’m always trying to
get a message out. There’s so many careers in the world I would never
do and one that would make my day to get involved in–Mass
Communications.

I was talking with my brother. He’s always checking up on me.
He was asking me did I know that there are people with college
degrees not able to get into their field of study? I said why?
He replied ” Sometimes a degree is not enough. You have
to have additional skills”. Well, I guess they don’t want
to make it easy on people. They don’t want people
to just think that they can just get skills in one
aspect. I’m always thinking about the topics
that are helpful, entertaining and information.
But back to my brother, he suggested I look
up sample career resumes.

So I looked up the Mass COmmunications Resume

The sample resume showed a high gpa for the major and
that the person was in the Public Relations Student Society
of AMerica.

THey had achieved a 4th year level of Spanish conversation
and literature knowledge.

I was told that knowing a foreign language really helps when you
want to get hired for a job.

They created their own personal website.
They created a brochure for a well known organization.
THen they interviewed people, wrote a copy of
the organization key concepts of fun, diversity
and communication.

Producing fliers, posters, newspaper ads, annual brochures
for campus wide distribution was on the list of things this
person did. This person publicized monthly social and
educational meetings.

This person talked about awards, rewards they received.

Skills listed was adobe photoshop, quarkexpress, html,
Excel, Powerpoint, Word.

Digital 35 mm, video photography

Associated Press style, proofreading,
editing text from multiple contributors into whole

A Good amount of spoken and written Spanish

Well, I see what this person has for extra skills. Me personally, I want
to obtain those same skills. I only know a little of MS Word, Powerpoint,
Excel, it’s all basic. I would like to learn more. I myself know high school
Spanish and College French. The college I would like to attend has
a 4th level of French and Spanish. I’ve always wondered how could
I be fluent in those languages. But anyone looking to learn foreign
