The fastest man in the world title was given to a Black man…..Usain Bolt!

bicycle

Instead of taking a bike or a car, this man decided to run
and he ran this race and took over!!!

A black man is the fastest man on earth. In the words of Alicia Keys
song Unbreakable,” Clap your hands everybody, um, clap your hands..
Well black people are known for doing the best in everything. This internet
could never be thorough enough to explain it…Charisma, talent, beauty,
soul, spirit, giving, intelligence, inventions, black people are the best
in all areas no matter how good others are in areas. They say everybody
has talent but black people take it to the extreme.

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is the speediest man in the world. He has
won the men’s Olympic 100 meters with such power. He went
even further than his former record of 9.72 seconds. He finished
the race in only 9.69 seconds, which is a new world record
he has set. Some Trinidadian gentleman named Richard Thompson
got 2nd place and won silver medal. He finished the race in 9.89 seconds.

American Walter Dix went home with bronze medal for 9.91 seconds.
This gentleman from Jamaica is quoted as saying” I came here to prove
I’m the best. I could even be 9.60.” His name and his high level
of achieving in running has deemed him worthy of the media nickname
“Lightning Bolt”. And in the words of Muhammad Ali, Fly like a butterfly,
sting like a bee. We know how that applies to this man’s speedy race.

Puma is the sponsor company. After he won the 200 meters race in
World Junior Championships in Jamaica in 2002, Puma signed Bolt.
To advertise Bolt’s chances for 100 meters race in Summer Olympics
in Beijing, China, Puma has released a collection of videos showing
off Bolt’s world record setting run in the Reebok Grand Prix to his
preparations for the Olympics. Even during the Beijing 2008 100
meters final, Bolt display his golden Puma spikes that read
Beijing 100 meters Gold.

Oh yes people, I probably should have kept running. I did run a lot
when I was a kid. I never got into racing, but when I was a kid
mom said I was the fastest runner on my block. And doesn’t
running give people a rush? It’s great excercise, pumps
that heart, challenges you. What more could you want?

-Save the best for last, a Life with GOD in it…

Black Designer Tracy Reese Creates Fashion Trends For All to See!

Black Designer Tracy Reese Creates Fashion Trends For All to See!

Black Designers Create Fashion Trends for the World to See

"dress/ object" (front view)

We know our black African people have been creating the most
luxurious of things, baskets, clothes, whatever can be sewn
and much more. Ofcourse it’s brilliant for someone to wear
something well. It’s our naturally juicy lips, our hips, and
our shape that puts the outfits to the best use.

There are so many white fashion runways. I’m just grateful
to see more Black people on the runway. If there was a
petition I could start for more black models on the runway,
you bet I would.

But did you know this?

African Americans by ourselves spent $27 billion on apparel in
2008 says Target Market News. And WOW! I can understand
the need to shop. I like to treat myself to the best selection
of clothes while I’m on campus. And well, that’s anywhere.
Nothing like a shopping spree to turn a boring upside down
day into a happy day.

Last year though, Americans bought $326 billion worth of clothing
and footwear. Now, more and more I began to love shoes. It
started off as a clothes fetish, then lingerie fetish, now it’s a
clothes,lingerie, and shoes fetish.

Like many areas, us black people are not getting enough
acknowledgement in the areas that need to be on
full broadcast. It should be seen like the clouds, put
at the top in full view.

For example, Tracy Reese is one of the fashion’s most
successful black female designers. The first lady has
helped to advertise this black woman but modeling
her clothes. Michelle Obama wore the Air Force One
in a Tracy Reese blue and white dress and she chose
a $395 Reese dress to display on the cover of People
Magazine.

They call Reese’s style “unabashedly girly.
She has a namesake label and her talent branches off
like the trees. She has went from clothing to shoes to
nail polish and hosiery.

She started off young knowing she wanted to create
beautiful things. That just goes to show “The best
things start off as a vision that turns into reality.” by
me charismaallover.

Tracy Reese says ” I was influenced by the femininity
of women like my grandmother. After growing up in
Detroit, I moved to New York to attend Parsons School
of Design. Once I received my degree, I decided to
move to Paris where I apprenticed under designer Martine Sitbon while
working for a small contemporary firm, Arlequin.
A few years later, I returned to New York and
started working for Perry Ellis as the design
director for Women’s Portfolio.”

In her early 20s, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman,
and Ann Taylor sold her clothes in their department Her
company’s sales has went over $12 miillion by the year
2003. Still, though, she is very detailed in every aspect
of her clothes, all the way to the stitching. Mrs. Reese
says “While I have a wonderful team to assist, I continue
to build my b rand with my own hands.

And isn’t that the best way? Nothing like making your own.
You get your money, you made it happen, and you
get the pride on the inside and outside.

The question was brought up: Was dressing the First Lady
the height of her career? She says “Not really. While seeing
my gress on First Lady Michelle Obama was one of the
proudest moments of my career, I still design for the everyday
woman. I design because I want women to feel good in
what they wear and help to solve their wardrobe problems.

I say, why don’t she go and help some of those
singers every now and then who have wardrobe problems?
And people, have you seen her work in stores? Have you
bought anything of hers?

The First Black Newspaper Holding it down while other newspapers are Struggling!

The First Black Newspaper Holding it down while other newspapers are Struggling!

Philadelphia Tribune, 02

Through the tough times, there are your survivors and people who
don’t survive. There are the businesses that the close and the businesses
that stay open. The challenge is how to keep it open.

Appparently, in media, my favorite subject, the first black newspaper is
still afloat. It is known already that print media has it troubles.

Based on Businessinsider.com, 10,000 newspaers jobs has carried away
into nonexistence.Print ad sales declined 30% in the first part of the year.
23 of the top 25 newspapers expressed that circulation declined between
7% and 20%. Over 100 newspaper operations have been shutdown. AMong
those, a few include Seattle Post Intelligencer and the Rocky Mountain News.

Not only newspapers, magazines like Vibe, Portfolio, and Blender are
strugglng. THe Philadelphia Tribune’s success in print media
has yet to take a downturn. I proudly say that the Philadelphia
Tribune is the oldest black published newspaper in AMerica with
it’s 125 year anniversary. It was established in 1884
as a way for African Americans to speak out against injustice.

My opinion is that other newspapers/magazines should follow
the example as the Philadelphia Tribune. They need to keep
their own style and ideas ofcourse, but just get some much
needed advice from this company as they need it very much.

Robert BOgle is the president of the PHiladelphia Tribune. The irony
of it all is that he was behind the scenes of the tribune as
a youngin’. His father worked there and he grew up there
when he was just a child.

THe pressed they put to use is about 70 years old, still able
to be used some more. His dad, Thomas Logan states this, “
Every issue he would have something about the black people
and people wanted to read about themselves.” That still holds
true today.”

Sam Muelbellieger says “It’s really our home base paper that really
taps the heartbeat of the African American community and other
papers don’t tend to gravitate toward that area. So we have something
like a family type of situation with the Tribune.

E Washington Rhodes’ testimony is that if you needed $500,
he would see to it that you got it, right out of his pocket.
And we didn’t have any money back then. I remember we
could hardly make payroll.”

Times have definitely change. Currently, The Tribune’s
circulation is more than 220,000 weekly. It is published
5 times weekly in Philadelphia and is conveniently
found online.

Robert Bogle explains why The Philadelphia Tribune is
staying strong “Because we’re doing today what Chris
Perry did 125 years ago. And today, like 125 years ago,
that continues to be. And that’s why.”

So, that’s a great testimony that something so commonly
dedicated to the black race is the last one standing. Yet,
there are still newspapers hoping, wishing they could be
in their shoes. The Philadelphia Tribune is extra special
and unique to be rolling around this long. Well, look
forward to them to keeping those wheels going.

Maybe I don't always get my nails done.
You know some people even bite their nails,
a bad habit. But I have always had long nails
cause I don't bite them. I'm not really into
fake nails. I love natural nails like I love
natural hair. Some nails can be so long it
looks impossible to handle things. But If I
was to get any type of design on my own nails
it would be these.

A gallery of the most elegant and
fashionable nail designs! Enjoy!

Our Black people’s tradition of wearing church hats, particularly Black women!!!!

Our Black people’s tradition of wearing church hats, particularly Black women!!!!

<IMG BORDER=”0″ ALIGN=”Left” SRC=”African Queen Style Church Hat“>US Black Women love our hats, especially the older church ladies in their 40s and 50s and above. It is a tradition of my Black elders. So one of my black elders
would not dare go to church without that perfect hat, at least most. It has
been an expression for women of all ages in the black race.

Does Everyone already know that AOL is free if you have dsl, cable, high speed internet or others in that category?

Does Everyone already know that AOL is free if you have dsl, cable, high speed internet or others in that category?

Yes, everybody, maybe this is old news or news that is new,
depending upon who already knows but Aol is free. Aol is only free if
you have dial up, high speed internet, cable, , Dsl, or fiber. Aol really
has the best set up. It looks better to me than yahoo. I like the way
aol organizes. Yahoo looks good. But Aol is the best.

So to all of you, I want you to be able to save money. If you
don’t have the high speed, dial up, cable, dsl, fiber, etc, then
Aol has a lower price. You can use their ways of connection.
But If you have at least one of those connection ways, Aol is NO price,
completely free. If you recently switched to another broadband connection at home,
you can switch and stop paying for your aol account.

Go to keyword : Change Plan on AOl and click the free button.
You don’t even have to talk to customer service about it. It’s automatic.
I enjoy when something super great is free. But aol is the best way
to go. I been having it for years. I have always seen quality service
with them. I recommend them over and over again.

Yet, if you need internet connection like dsl, cable, etc anything in that
category, they have a plan that’s $25.90 and one that’s $9.95 for their
dsl,cable, high speed internet,etc.

So people that don’t have aol are just missing out.
Come see how great it is. Thank you.
