The fastest man in the world title was given to a Black man…..Usain Bolt!

bicycle

Instead of taking a bike or a car, this man decided to run
and he ran this race and took over!!!

A black man is the fastest man on earth. In the words of Alicia Keys
song Unbreakable,” Clap your hands everybody, um, clap your hands..
Well black people are known for doing the best in everything. This internet
could never be thorough enough to explain it…Charisma, talent, beauty,
soul, spirit, giving, intelligence, inventions, black people are the best
in all areas no matter how good others are in areas. They say everybody
has talent but black people take it to the extreme.

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt is the speediest man in the world. He has
won the men’s Olympic 100 meters with such power. He went
even further than his former record of 9.72 seconds. He finished
the race in only 9.69 seconds, which is a new world record
he has set. Some Trinidadian gentleman named Richard Thompson
got 2nd place and won silver medal. He finished the race in 9.89 seconds.

American Walter Dix went home with bronze medal for 9.91 seconds.
This gentleman from Jamaica is quoted as saying” I came here to prove
I’m the best. I could even be 9.60.” His name and his high level
of achieving in running has deemed him worthy of the media nickname
“Lightning Bolt”. And in the words of Muhammad Ali, Fly like a butterfly,
sting like a bee. We know how that applies to this man’s speedy race.

Puma is the sponsor company. After he won the 200 meters race in
World Junior Championships in Jamaica in 2002, Puma signed Bolt.
To advertise Bolt’s chances for 100 meters race in Summer Olympics
in Beijing, China, Puma has released a collection of videos showing
off Bolt’s world record setting run in the Reebok Grand Prix to his
preparations for the Olympics. Even during the Beijing 2008 100
meters final, Bolt display his golden Puma spikes that read
Beijing 100 meters Gold.

Oh yes people, I probably should have kept running. I did run a lot
when I was a kid. I never got into racing, but when I was a kid
mom said I was the fastest runner on my block. And doesn’t
running give people a rush? It’s great excercise, pumps
that heart, challenges you. What more could you want?

Mike Carey-first African American to referee the Super Bowl

Mike Carey-first African American to referee the Super Bowl

We’ll the Super Bowl, I was told is more

popular than Christmas. Alot of people

love sports. I wonder how many people

love playing sports more than watching

or love watching sports more than playing.

Well, I don’t know if I’ll ever know.

ANyways………..

Mike Carey was the first African American

to referee the Super Bowl when he

served as the head official Sunday in

Super Bowl between New England, New York

and Glendale , Arizona.

Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith were the

first African American coaches to

lead teams to the Super BOwl. Dungy’s

Colts have won in the NFL, Super Bowl

XLII.

REferee’s usually don’t get alot of

attention, but Carey’s elevation to

Super BOwl referee changed that. He got

plenty of emails congradulating him.

Carey used to work Pop Warner football

games in California. He was an official

in the Western Athletic Conference in

1985. The NFL hired him as a side judge

as well.

Super Bowl…Superbowl. Well, i’ve Been
told it’s more popular than Christmas.
Yeah alot of people love sports. I know
that. Think of all the scholarships
people get just from being an athlete.

There was this one girl I heard of,
Black like me, and she had colleges
contacting her for her sports reputation,
plus they wanted to give her full
ride scholarships. Oh, the power of
sports. But anyways, here is the article
I’m referring to about Doug Williams:

Doug Williams,is the black man who
came to the Redskins from the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers in 1986. He
won Super Bowl XXII MOst Valuable
Player honors when he led Washington
to a 42-10 rout of the Denver
Broncos. Mr. Williams finished
18 of 29 passes for 340 years and
4 touchdowns in the victory.
Doug outdueled teh Broncos man
John Elway, by connecting long
bombs of 80 and 50 yards to
Ricky Sanders and then a 27
yard pass to Gary Clark.

I smell his victory ha ha ha.
But yes, it’s great that he has
this honor, he belongs in the
Hall of Fame.

See the Champions picture in
the victory and these details at this link

First African American Owned Private Swim Club began 1958 (still existing today)

                Clear water & Red Rock

THe Nile Swim Club is the nation’s first African American owned

private swim club. THey have announced that it has launched

a whopping $5 million expansion program involving other

amenities like the construction of 3 heated pools, an 18-hole miniature

golf course, a 150 seat banquet facility, and a fitness center as

well as basketball and tennis courts. (Wow! That’s really diverse.

That’s very convenient for those who want to add

other sports to their resume. So its like the perfect setup,

getting more access to sports at one place. Bravo Brilliant!)

The swim club is located in Pennsylvania and began

1958, a time era when Black people were denied admission

and membership ot the racilly exclusive and currently

defunct, Yeadon Swim Club.

( Well, definitely The Yeadon Swim Club is too shame.

They went on and started their own club because they

don’t need The Yeadon Swim Club. They still made it, but ofcourse.)

THe swim club’s opening was a very important story

of African American economic self-determination and

attracted alot of media coverage and got Harry Belafonte

and Motown’s Supremes to notice them.

Today, the club owns a 4.5 acre parcel of land and

has a membership of 210 families. The new faculty is being

designed by Buell Kratzer Powell LTD and Synterra LTD,

a African American owned landscape design firm. The facility

is planned to be complete in 2008.

I wonder how much training people do in the Olympics.

But I guess everybody’s training time might be different.
That reminds me of this wonderful young and
vibrant star by the name of Vonetta Flowers!
Vonetta Flowers is into the bobsledding sport.
She is a 32 year old resident from Helena, Alabama.
One of her career highlights is that she has the 2006

a gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Vonetta, the former track star sprints, hurdles and does

See how you can start off in one area and do
another? It’s great that she’s got that versatile

women’s boblsled event with teammate Jean Prahm.
After making her mark in history, she wrote her own

The American Tennis Association-First Black Sports Organization

The American Tennis Association-First Black Sports Organization

History of the tennis racket at Wimbledon - 06th July 2006

Well most people know about Venus and Serena Williams
in the tennis area. But I’m bringing you some new info.
Its time to hear about some other people who deserve
recognition. Therefore you have the American
Tennis Association:
July 22, 1916 was the start of a beautiful thing-The American
Tennis Association. IT was the first black sports organization
in America and formed by African American businessmen
college professors, and physicians.
The ATA is known for being the MEcca for blacks from
all walks of life who enjoy the competition and camaderie.
It was offered for ages 8-80. (What a big range! Wonderful!)
I’m will now give you the objectives of this magnanimous
organization:
      1. Bringing black tennis lovers and players to close relations
         (It’s a beautiful unity)

      2. Improve on standards of existing clubs
(Its always great to encourage other things and
           inspire others to do great.)

      3. Hold annual national championship tournaments

      4. Regulating the dates of local as well as regional
         tournaments to eliminate conflicts.

       5. Appointing referees and officials for each event;
also to promote the standard of the game among
        black players.
THe American Tennis Association held its first ATA
National Championship at Baltimore’s Druid Hill
Park in August of 1917.
Now, In August of each year, several 1,000 players
compete in more than 50 different events
at the yearly ATA National Championships in
different locations. The ATA is the epitome
of growing, African American big-bucks demographic
that has helped turn the tennis field into
a multi-billion dollar business.
(Its awesome they laid out their objectives so you
know what they wanted besides the obvious)
I give credit to this site for its information:
